Mason Archie

Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Mason Archie currently resides in Indianapolis, Indiana where he works full time as an artist. His early art experience came while working as the Art Director and pictorial artist for Lamar Outdoor Advertising, which gave him the opportunity to develop his talent everyday for over fifteen years. In 2006, E&S Gallery began representing Archie, guiding him to concentrate his creative efforts in the direction of traditional landscapes and seascapes, helping to spark great appreciation and demand for his “old master” style of painting by collectors across the country. His works have been exhibited in the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, IL, at the Schuster Center in Dayton, OH and throughout the state of Indiana. He has also been featured in Home of Colors magazine and The Art Of The Portrait, the magazine for the Portrait Society of America. In 2006, his first time showing in the 82nd Annual Hoosier Salon Art Show for the state of Indiana yielded an unprecedented “Best Overall Landscape” painting award, and 2nd place Best Overall Award – – unheard of for a first-time show entrant! In 2007 he went on to take “Best Oil Painting” in the 83rd Annual Show. Mason is a member of the Hoosier Salon Patrons Association and Fine Arts Gallery, National Conference of Artist, African American Visual Artist Guild [AAVAG], and Dayton Visual Artist Group [DVAG], Dayton, OH.
